Mission Statement

The Wise Vision Care team takes pride in providing professional eyecare with an emphasis on personal attention in a caring and unique atmosphere. Our goal is not to meet your expectations, but to exceed them and become your Eyecare Professional for life.

Dr. Wise

Dr. Teresa Wise obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1989 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended both Eastern Kentucky University and Fairmont State College in West Virginia for her undergraduate studies. Dr. Wise began her career working as a leasing doctor for Pearle Vision in Bowling Green and opened her own private practice in Elizabethtown in 1995. In 1997, she expanded her business by purchasing the practice of Dr. Mike Noel after he passed away. She is very proud of the new building that became the home of Wise Vision Care in 2005.

Dr. Wise is originally from Pikeville, Kentucky but made Elizabethtown her permanent home after marrying Robbie, who is from E-town. They have no children, but have now become the proud owners (parents) of 2 Shih-tzus! Dr. Wise enjoys travel, photography and scrapbooking.

Debbie (Optometric Assistant)

Debbie serves as both the optometric assistant and back-up receptionist. Her main job in our office is pre-testing the patients and training new contact lens wearers. She is the perfect person for this job due to her extreme patience and friendly disposition. She has been a member of our staff since 1996.

Debbie was born and raised in Elizabethtown. She is married and the mother of 1 son and 1 daughter. She has 3 granddaughters. Debbie is a member of Severn's Valley Baptist Church where she teaches a Sunday school class for kindergarteners. She enjoys reading and crocheting and her entire family are avid UK fans.

Julie (Receptionist/Insurance Billing)

Our receptionist, Julie, is originally from Illinois. She moved to Elizabethtown in the fall of 2012 with her fiancé due to his job relocation. They were married in December 2012. They share their home with a collie named Zoe. Julie has a daughter and son-in-law that still live in Illinois, so she enjoys going home to spend time with them.

Before coming to Wise Vision Care, Julie was employed by Marion Eye Centers. She obtained 5 years experience in eyecare that has enable her to transition to our practice easily. Julie has a pleasing personality and is always happy to welcome patients to our office.

Tara (Licensed Optician)

Our office is proud to have Tara working in our dispensary. She has many years experience in frame sales, adjustments and repairs, as she has been working in the optical field since 1994. She became a licensed optician in 2002.

Tara graduated from North Hardin High School. She has been married for 10 years and has two beautiful female boxers named Abby and Leia. She is a North Carolina Tarheel fan and her hobbies include spending time with her dogs and watching movies.

Teresa (Optical Assistant)

Teresa began working for Wise Vision Care in February 2012. With her she brings extensive experience in the optical business of more than 15 years, having worked for retired optometrist, Dr. James M. Campbell. She was originally hired as a receptionist, but her current duties include frame styling and dispensing.

Teresa is a lifelong resident of Elizabethtown and has been a member of Memorial United Methodist Church for 22 years. She is also a member of the Bible and Love Sunday School class. She is married to Doug and they have a 3 year old cocker spaniel, Charles Oscar.

Teresa enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing tennis, traveling and participating in various church activities.
